Nigeria
Priesst, born Caleb Olusegun Odugbose, is a Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter known for Afro-fusion that blends Afrobeats, melodic rap, and R&B. Born in Abuja and originally from Ogun State, he grew up in a clerical household where church choirs introduced him to music and instruments such as drums and keyboard. With a Political Science degree from the University of Abuja, he began releasing covers and freestyles online around 2015. Some of his early releases include his debut "Miwa" (2021) followed by growing attention through "Upcoming (Check on Me)" in 2023 and "Puff-Puff Pass" with Falz. He released "KURIMA" in 2025 and followed up with "KURIMA TOO" in 2026. Other notable releases include "Akonuche" and "Omo." He has worked with Falz, Victony, Shoday, and Zlatan, and describes himself as a musical priest using music to foster hope and connection within Afrobeats across young audiences globally.
