Martin Nkoyoyo, widely celebrated as Yoyo, is a Ugandan performer with indelible impact across multiple creative domains, including music, film, and entrepreneurship. Born December 17, 1979, in Buikwe District, Yoyo was raised in a vibrant, church-oriented household that laid the foundation for his artistic pursuits. Inspired by his mother's soprano, he gravitated towards music early on, eventually mastering a blend of old-school R&B and hip-hop soul. Educated at Makerere University, Yoyo's lyrical compositions are both soulful and modern, resonating through tracks such as 'Tele', 'Sirika', 'Ansaana' featuring Priscilla Kalibala, 'Mata', and 'Nzewe'. Contrary to popular belief, he is the nephew of the late Archbishop Livingstone Mpalanyi Nkoyoyo. Yoyo's multidimensional career includes acting, scriptwriting, and production achievements—notably his role in the TV series 'Prestige'. Although less visible in public, Yoyo leverages social media to keep fans engaged with updates on his artistic and entrepreneurial ventures.
