Journey
Spillz Ochai’s breakthrough moment came in 2012 with the release of "Thank You", a soul-stirring gospel track that marked a significant shift in his music career. The song captivated listeners with its vibrant Afrobeat rhythms and heartfelt message of gratitude to God. It became the catalyst for greater opportunities—leading to new collaborations and setting Spillz on a journey to becoming a rising figure in the Afrogospel scene.
Born Pascal Aboh Ochai on September 2, 1992, in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State, Nigeria, Spillz discovered music early in life. By age 14, he was already battling it out in high school rap competitions, earning a reputation for clever wordplay and a natural stage presence. But back then, his lyrics were more about hype than hope. In 2011, a powerful encounter with faith changed all that. Spillz decided to turn his life—and his music—over to God, and he hasn’t looked back since.
His journey has been filled with meaningful collaborations alongside top Afrogospel and Christian hip-hop artists like Limoblaze, Marizu, Rehmahz, Naffymar, and Oba Reengy. Known for his melodic delivery and spirit-filled lyrics, Spillz’s music has gained traction on major platforms, including Rapzilla, Gospel Hydration, and Praiseworld Radio. He’s also a three-time Rapzilla Award nominee, further cementing his role as a pioneer in the Afrogospel movement.
He graduated with a B.Sc in Mass Communication from the National Open University of Nigeria.
Spillz Ochai’s music is more than just sound; it’s a mission to uplift and inspire. His songs offer listeners joy, encouragement, and a reminder that faith can be celebrated with both heartfelt praise and a groove on the dance floor. With an open heart and a spirit ready to serve, Spillz continues to shine as a beacon of hope in gospel music.
