Born on January 1, 1970, Kode embarked on his musical odyssey in 2003 as part of the TFP (The Future Production) crew, quickly drawing attention with his talent and versatility. His sound, a tapestry of bongoflava, kizomba, soul, afrobeats, and genge, reflects a rich cultural heritage and a modern global perspective. Rising to prominence with appearances in notable talent competitions like Idols 2007 and Imagine Afrika, Kode's artistry captured audiences with songs like "Impeta," "Igikomere," and "Ese Uzabyihanganira."
His 2017 single "Vitamina" clinched Best Music Video at the Nshuti Merits & Awardz, underscoring his acclaim in the African music diaspora. Beyond his musical prowess, Kode is a visionary entrepreneur. He established Red Model Agency and Red Magic Label to promote Rwandan and broader African talents. His commitment to art and community is further exemplified by the Loko Star singing competition, initiated to discover and nurture young Rwandan voices.
