In 2015, she signed with West Ink and released the breakout hit "Wololo" featuring Mampintsha, propelling her to national fame. Her debut studio album, "Gqom Queen," released in 2016, showcased her unique style and earned platinum status. Babes Wodumo's talent caught international attention, leading to her feature on Kendrick Lamar's Black Panther compilation album on the song titled "Redemption."
