Godfrey Kavuma’s “Omwenge” is a six-track album, with songs rooted in Ugandan musical traditions and performed largely in Luganda. Across its 53-minute runtime, the project moves through extended arrangements, including the title track “Omwenge” and the collaborative “Eddembe Lya Bafumbo” with Rose Nakimuli.
