A man armed with a shotgun, a handgun and multiple knives is in custody after charging through a security checkpoint at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington. US President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump and several members of his cabinet were attending the event in the ballroom of the Hilton hotel and were quickly evacuated by the Secret Service just after gunfire broke out.
