United States President Donald Trump could meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin as early as next week to discuss a pathway to peace in Ukraine. It follows a meeting between U-S Envoy Steve Witkoff and Mr Putin, described by the U-S President as highly productive. The Trump administration has escalated tariffs on countries purchasing Russian oil, applying more pressure on Mr Putin to come to the negotiating table.
